I am who I am because of each and every student with whom I've had the great privilege to work. I learn more about myself from each of them, and I regard them all as though they were my teachers, too. They will forever be a part of my heart.
I miss color guard so much. The adrenaline, the teamwork, your leadership, the girls.. everything! ! I remember you getting me through my break-up, my fights with Molly, you always pushing me. You are such an incredible leader and have absolutely contributed to my success. I work in a beautiful hotel in Houston and have a lot of people that look up to me. You were definitely one of the first people that pushed me. Told me when I was doing good and told me when I could be doing better.

A very angry Marc enters the band room after our post-regionals rehearsal and B-lines to the podium, where he says, "There is a major issue and I have to address it!"
Complete silence.
Marc: "There are 12 jumbo pizzas in the cafeteria, and I want them all gone before everyone leaves." :) :) :)

In a nutshell Marc taught me how complex the brain was. Not that the actual functions of the brain has anything to do with color guard...but he taught me that my mind was equipped with the tools to do anything. All I had to do was practice. Beautiful lesson never to be forgotten.

Marc is an inspiration to so many. He was my colorguard instructor for four years. In that time he taught me so many skills needed for performance, but he also left me with many leadership and life skills I still use today as a teacher in the classroom and as a mother to my children. He cares deeply for his students and not only shares his skills on the field, but places an imprint on the heart and spirit of everyone he works with. He pushes you to be the best version of yourself both in performance and in life. It is twenty years later, and he is still one of my favorite people on the planet. I can honestly say, I wouldn't be who I am today without the lessons Marc has taught me.

…When I first began my Color Guard journey I was an awkward, clunky middle schooler with ZERO confidence. After 6 long years working with Marc he not only shaped me into a person who loved guard more than anything, but someone who, for the first time ever actually loved herself. At my deepest moments in life, through rough times at home, Marc was one person who stayed next to me and pushed me when all I wanted to do is give up. He never gives up on his students, he never puts them down, and he even tries his hardest to keep them involved in the marching arts long after graduation. Thanks to Marc I grew into the person I am today, he has opened my mind to so many amazing things and has given me my favorite memories. Even though I haven't been involved with marching arts for 3 years Marc still continues to inspire me as a choreographer, instructor, designer, performer, and most importantly a person. An amazing human being who I can't imagine my life without.
